The Enterprise Rent-A-Car location in Chicago, IL was occupying a 14' x 70' office building that came with the property they were leasing. The building was falling apart due to poor maintenance from the previous occupant at that site. The HVAC did not work, holes were forming in the floor and space was minimal and not conducive to operating their truck and car rental operations.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car was interested in a facility that had a low maintenance exterior and would provide them with a professional sales office environment.

The Enterprise team contacted ModSpace for a fast, cost-effective, attractive and functional alternative to their previous structure.

Due to their budget and timeframe constraints, ModSpace proposed a refurbished modular unit that would provide the customer with a low-maintenance solution to their space problem. ModSpace was able to use a classroom building already in fleet and do a complete modification on the interior and exterior of the building to meet the specific needs of Enterprise.

While work began on the new modular office for Enterprise, ModSpace provided a 12' x 56' Designer Series unit with an ADA ramp and sewage system so that Enterprise would have a proper sales office to use during the month transition. Their old office unit was hauled away from their property and destroyed to make room for the temporary space ModSpace provided, as well as the newly refurbished building they would soon be receiving.

Meanwhile, Enterprise's new office space went through a complete refurbishment. The interior was updated by re-routing duct work and installing offices, a kitchenette, handicapped accessible restroom, new panels, double deck floor, new ceiling, windows, store front doors, interior windows and custom covers for the HVAC units. The exterior of the building was updated with low maintenance horizontal vinyl siding that was installed on-site to create a seamless, finished look.

Once the new building was complete, ModSpace disconnected the plumbing and electric from the transitional modular unit and hauled the building away. The new 28' x 70' complex was then delivered and installed by ModSpace - complete with reconnection of the plumbing, electrical, ramp, deck and landscaping - all within 60 days.

Enterprise was then able to complete the look by of the building by painting the window and door trim in their corporate colors and installing matching carpet.

The finished product gave Enterprise Rent-A-Car a complete turn-key solution that was ready to occupy once the keys were handed over.
